About us

Founded in 1924 by Dr. Chamanlal M. Mehta, HFWC has been a trusted name in women’s health for four generations. He was also a founding member of The Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI). His son, Dr. Ajit C. Mehta, expanded the hospital. He practised for over 60 years, and also served as the Dean of Wadia Maternity Hospital.

Today, under the leadership of Dr. Ajay A. Mehta (MD, DGO), we continue this legacy of expert obstetric and gynecological care in a warm, homely environment. With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Mehta brings a blend of deep expertise and personal attention to every patient.

The fourth generation, Dr. Nishita A. Mehta (MD, DNB, MRCOG), is currently working in London, continuing the family’s tradition of providing compassionate and expert care.
